Seedfolx Farm is a femme-owned, BIPoC, veganic, no-till, urban farm situated on traditional Anishinaabe nation land. "Seedfolks" is a term for our ancestors, those who carried seeds before us. It's also the name of a children's book that helped shape my imagination about how food brings folks together.
I come from a lineage of farmers, especially, from my maternal grandmother who grew food and flowers in her tiny Chicago backyard. In 2010, I stepped foot on an urban farm and never looked back. Since then, across Chicago, Seattle, and Detroit, I've planted culturally-significant seeds alongside farmers, families, animals, insects, and volunteers. Now, I get to share the love through Seedfolx Farm. Seedfolx partners with other local farmers, including MSU's DPFLI, N.E.W.L.E.A.F, Moonseed, the Peklos, and Luis Cuenca, to offer you an array of fresh, nutrient-dense produce and gorgeous blooms.
